PrintBarbecue Sauce for Ribs
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup water
- 1 cup catsup
- 2 tbsp dark vinegar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 3 lbs baby back ribs
Saute onion in butter until softened. Add remaining ingredients (except meat) and simmer 20-30 minutes until thickened.
Slow cook ribs at 250° for at least 3 hours.
Brush sauce over ribs and cook an additional 30 minutes. You can also place them on a hot grill meat side down for about 5 minutes, flip and brush with sauce, then serve.
